MARSHALL MICHAEL GUY

My PhD focusses on the study of active extensional fault systems in the Apennines, as part of the DEFENS project. I focus on the collection of structural-geological, morphotectonic, and high resolution topographic (HRT) data.

I use these data to define the architecture, kinematic, and geometry of active faults in the study areas and contribute to the creation of geologically constrained co-seismic dynamic rupture models with the goal of contributing to an improved understanding of the area’s active tectonics and associated seismic risk.
