This industrial PhD project co-founded by Teate Ecologia S.p.A., under PNRR framework, addresses the sustainable management and recovery of complex industrial waste, focusing on end-of-life photovoltaic (PV) panels, bottom ashes, and glass fibers. Aligned with the EU Green Deal and circular economy goals, the research evaluates chemical-physical and mechanical processes to optimize material recovery and transform waste into high-value Secondary Raw Materials. Using advanced analytical techniques, including SEM-EDS, XRD, TXRF, and ICP-OES, the project delivers comprehensive chemical, structural, and environmental characterizations at every stage. The objective is to ensure compliance with stringent End-of-Waste regulations (Directive 2018/851/EU), maximize recovery efficiency and purity, and minimize environmental impacts. Ultimately, this research contributes to industrial sustainability, secondary raw material security, and the advance of eco-efficient waste valorization strategies.
